Clean chicken coops are a must on our farm, not only for our saftey but for the saftey of the animals as well.  As an NPIP certified flock we are required not only to keep our birds tested and free of disease, but we are required to keep our coops fresh and clean of all maure and parisites.  We clean coops daily.  We feed three times a day, and after each feeding we lift out any soiled bedding from the coops and dispose of it.  This allows our poultry to enjoy their homes and for us to enjoy them.  We have four interior rooms for poultry and four additional  small buildings dedicated to poultry.  We decorate every coop as we would our home with windows,curtains, and gardens.   We like our poultry to feel a bit special.
